first designs

Im thinking i want to go for a more casual street wear look with a bit of qurlky whimsey

i wanted to incorpate and play with several elements that are unuseal or contravetla within lolita like shorter skirts, asymmenticy, rompers and salopettes, with fabrics like knits with handmake/printed/design/sewn motifs

rompers and salopette are contravesty within lolita
as some of the complats about them are

rompers
-ero
-destroys the siloette
-make people look boxey
-low rise
-ageplayish

because most lolita outfits are designed for an asien figure in mind most lolitas dislike rompers because it flattens their figure compared with the normal sillopette that gives them a defined shape

saloettes
-low rise moves foces to hips and flatens out curve
-short
-boxly
-ageplayish

depending on the style of salopette it can be ether low rise on the hip or at naural waist,
the ones at the hips usally have panels.

lolitas really hate anything that detorys the silloette because for most lolitas the siloette defines the style.

lolita also have a big gap between "brand' and 'off-brand"

off brand genraly means ether handmade or from a brand/label thats not a lolita one.
ive found that the farther away and the less money you have the more likey to see off-brand and handmade with that areas lolitas, you will still see this gap in japan but this will be more of a money issue than a distance one.
this gap like in mainstream fashion also happens between high and low within lolita you will have lolita brands like bodyline and dream of lolita (DoL) making replicas (reps) of popular outfits from the high brand like baby and AP, this reps are still lolita and very commen and are taken for granted, to have the orinnal carrys far far more weight than the rep because it means you have the money to buy a super expense dress and the money for the super expense shipping.
shipping is a very big deal, it's really expense which is why the US baby and AP stores are poplar because the shipping is not as bad.
