one of the reason i puck full scale was because i would't be able to see or work out the problems, see how it looked on a manaquin and see if i could get to suit a plus size figure that and it wouldn't really be a challenge if it wasn't full scale.
don't make the front ANY wider than bust to bust because then you get a problem with gapping at the sides cause it's trying to curve over the sides of your bust, which would then solve the problem of where i ended up having to put the straps to stop it gapping
not to made the front to long/deep so when it sits at waist the top doesn't come over the bust TOO much
plan lace in the seams better, i keep forgeting to put fine dogs tooth lace in the strap seams before i sewd it, so i added crotch lace to the waist and straps because they were just too plain, and it was missing somthing.
i added an elastic half waist band in the back which is really awesome, and mades it really comable in adition to the very soft warm flanalette
elastic waist bands and shirring are VERY VERY common in lolita because lolita is a nicte sub culture market and each set/outfit generally has a limited run with limited sizes the elastic and shirring subisides for this but is still only avable
to someone with this measurements
86~94cm bust, 72~79cm waist
like all markets the measurements do change between brands but they still generally stay within this range,
for this reason replias are very poplar due to the fact that they most offen do custom sizing,
dream of lolita and Oo jia both do custom sizing and are on taobao in china (chinas verison of ebay), so they only way you can get them is from a SS (shopping serive) like loli-loli paradise on facebook or sites like taobaospree.
it took ages to work out the lengths of the straps and in the end i just decided to make both the front and the back button, so it allows for more people of diffent sizes to fit it inadition to the waist elatic.
i ended up going out on a supplies hunt with helena right after i had gottin to this point so i thought that would be a goood chance to test how it wore and how i felt in it, i was a bit worred about how i looked in it because i've had a funny relationship with this style of outfit e.g overall looking outfits when i was young cause i loved them, but the teen fashion at that time was not very forgiving to this style and i was REALLY REALLY SUPER insecure and paranoid about how i looked and what i wore, with the result that i wore big bagly hoodles and hid myself compared with now im like the oppasite, with a little bit of that insecure and paranoia left over.
the result of test wear being that i really enjoyed wearing it and i would enjoy much more after i fixed the problems that popped up
the same "problems" that happened on the salopette would also aplie to the rompers as i based my measurements on the same thing
